Snapping Turtle, it's what's for dinner! (Video)

I apprehended a 25-30 lb. snapping turtle crossing the road near our house today.  I brought it home, put it in kennel, and it was none too happy.  We used him to play a prank on our son.

We had him convinced his 2" map turtle had been overfed over the weekend.  It backfired when it upset him that his "pet" had grown too big to keep any longer.  Talk about stick a knife in you!  The moral of the story is that we now have a small map turtle that will stay indefinitely.

The snapping turtle?  No, we didn't eat it.  It went into local pond "back with its family."

Let's be glad there's not a turtle website somewhere saying, "Randy's finger, it's whats for dinner." Cool story. I know who to call the next time I find one. Poor Will!
