A young entrepreneur in the prime of his life develops life-threatening heart problems and (!) strange experiences. A little romance, a little suspense. The book dragged on and on, and it ended with me confused. If you're new to Koontz, stick to his earlier stuff or the Odd Thomas series. If you're like me, you have to read it.
If I wanted to nitpick the book, I would start with the cover. Don't let that be the thing to turn you away.
